Definition of Audrey

The girl's name Audrey \a(u)-drey, aud-rey\ is pronounced AW-dree. It is of Old English origin, and its meaning is "noble strength". Magnanimous suggests greatness of mind or soul, esp. as manifested in generosity or in overlooking injuries: magnanimous toward his former enemies. grand, lordly, splendid. peer, aristocrat.

STRENGTH - Strength, power, force, might suggest capacity to do something. Strength is inherent capacity to manifest energy, to endure, and to resist. Power is capacity to do work and to act. Force is the exercise of power: One has the power to do something. He exerts force when he does it. He has sufficient strength to complete it. Might is power or strength in a great or overwhelming degree: the might of an army. potency. brightness, loudness, vividness, pungency.

Basically, names have great significances to the person. Growing up as an "Audrey" I truely believed that my parents want me to grow up to be The Audrey that is as described. And in my life,I know many other Audreys beside myself .. But today, I realised that not all "Audreys" are living up to their names... I am no saying that I am good but just that some 'Audreys' are really destroying our reputation.. they should consider changing their names to something else....
